Is your site already compliant with the GDPR?

Since the entry into force of the GDPRDirective, all sites with customers residing in the European community have to follow a tight set of rules and users have some rights.

All sites must explicitly disclose that they are collecting personal data, identify what data they are collecting, and what the purpose of the collection is.

It is obligatory to inform the holders of personal data of their rights regarding their data, where it will be stored and with whom it will be shared.

It is now mandatory to inform the owners of personal data when there is a violation of personal data.

Right of access

Data subjects have the right to know all data collected about them and what the purpose of use is.

Right of rectification

Data subjects may request that their information be updated or corrected.

Right to forget

Data subjects may request that their information be forgotten. In other words, that any information up to that point about the person be deleted.

Right to portability

Data subjects may request that their information be transmitted to another organisation or a competitor.

Right of opposition

The persons involved may request that their information not be subject to certain processing or use.

Right to lodge a complaint

In the event that the data transferred by the data subject are not processed in accordance with the legal provisions, the data subject may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which in Portugal is the National Commission for Data Protection.
